The Ty Cobb T206 Card with the Ty Cobb Back Image

Today I’m going to talk about the Ty Cobb T206 card with the Ty Cobb back – a card that’s rarer and just as valuable, if not dramatically more so , than the Plank card no matter the condition.

There are several different versions of the Ty Cobb T206 card, all with his image and with differing back images, but what makes the Ty Cobb T206 card with the Ty Cobb back image so rare and so valuable is that there are only around an estimated 20 of them in existence. That estimation means that this particular Cobb T206 card, with the Cobb back image, is the rarest of all T206 card backs.

I’m sure you’re wondering what a card like this is worth, especially if you have one in your collection already or just in case you find one and don’t already know. These specific Cobb T206 cards have been known to auction off for as much as $50k, and that’s in poor condition. Imagine if you actually had one in average to good condition, the overall value of the card would probably set you up for an early retirement.
