Offered is a brilliant Ty Cobb signed 'cut' in bright blue ballpoint pen. More importantly, this autograph was obtained directly from our consignor in 1951 while he attended the All-Star game in Detroit! A fair amount of Cobb signatures come to light throughout the year, yet very few may claim the distinction of being offered for the first time such as this fine example. Overall dimensions of this tan colored page measure approx. 3.5" x 6". Cobb's signature is quite large, spanning about two inches long. The reverse is a Western Union telegram form which was not filled it. This piece would frame beautifully with that special Cobb photograph! The consignor of this lot is also responsible for consigning the Cy Young and Jackie Robinson signed government postcards. This lot is guaranteed to pass PSA/DNA or JSA Authentication.
