Excellent pair of signatures here which include Hall of Famer Zach Wheat and 1925 Pirates World Series member Emil Yde. Both are on vintage album pages measuring approx. 5" x 7.5" and in excellent condition with some tac holes and folding. The Wheat signature is a strong '7' or better as it exhibits slight bleeding from the fountain pen ink. He also added "Phila Athletics 2/15 1927" beneath his signature. Emil has placed a gorgeous mint signature with a subsequent inscription which reads "Pittsburgh Pirates World Champions 1925." Signatures of Zach Wheat and Emil Yde can be found with due diligence, however, examples that date to their playing days such as these two are nearly impossible to find. This lot is guaranteed to pass PSA/DNA or JSA Authentication.

The Roth Collection consists of a large collection of baseball signatures from 1925-1929. Our consignor's mother, Mrs. Loretta Roth(Watt), owned cigar stands inside the distinguished Ryan and St. Paul hotels in the Minneapolis area. She befriended Grace Comiskey(daughter in-law to Charles), and due to her love and knowledge of baseball, was given "all access" to players of the time. We are proud to offer this amazing find with some simply ,/font>remarkable signatures including Ruth, Cobb, Johnson, Alexander, and so many more!
