Thurman Munson Autographed Baseball - Single Signed.

Simply stated, this Thurman Munson signed baseball is the most striking we've ever seen. Boldly scripted in blue felt tip pen, Munson crafted a generous signature on the side panel of this Official American League Baseball (MacPhail). The ball, in and of itself, is exceptional and displays easily at a near mint - mint level, pearly white in overall tone. If you have been searching for a top notch Munson single for your collection, look no further. You will be hard pressed to find a better example. No other autographs are present on the ball, a true single signed gem.

Authentication: Notarized Letter from the original recipient, Mr. Ray Dellaserra, who obtained Mr. Munson's signature in 1974 in person comes with this lot. Additionally, a Richard Simon Sports LOA accompanies this ball. Mr. Simon is well know within the vintage sports autograph field as a true expert and of the highest integrity. This ball was sent to PSA/DNA and they were unable to render an opinion (letter of neutrality shown in scan). Original letter from them also accompanies this lot. We've been fortunate to handle over a dozen Munson single signed balls over the past few years - perhaps more than several other sports memorabilia auction house firms combined. With that said, this ball is of exceptional quality and not just the best we've handled, but the finest we've ever seen.
