Rounding out this collection of 1927 Yankees signatures is none other than Lou Gehrig. Your collection of pre-war autographs would not be complete without a Gehrig in it. And one from the 1927 season is the icing on the cake! Here we find another page from Mrs. Roth's collection, measuring approx. 5" x 7.5", in excellent condition with some tac holes. The Gehrig signature is not as fortunate. This one looks to have had the consumptive sun rays attack it over the years. Lou's autograph is now light, rating a '3' or better. Still a nice piece for the insightful hobbyist. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication(JSA).

The Roth Collection consists of a large collection of baseball signatures from 1925-1929. Our consignor's mother, Mrs. Loretta Roth(Watt), owned cigar stands inside the distinguished Ryan and St. Paul hotels in the Minneapolis area. She befriended Grace Comiskey(daughter in-law to Charles), and due to her love and knowledge of baseball, was given "all access" to players of the time. We are proud to offer this amazing find with some simply remarkable signatures including Ruth, Cobb, Johnson, Alexander, and so many more!
