Jackie Robinson Autographed Baseball | Gorgeous Single Signed Baseball | Near Mint JSA LOA
Jackie Robinson embodied the soul of negro league players across the United States in the 1940's, and his arrival to the major leagues in 1947 was simply groundbreaking. And, more importantly, Jackie provided much more than hype. He could hit the ball. Collecting Rookie of the Year honors along with an MVP and multiple World Series championships, Robinson found himself enshrined into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.
In 1961, our consignor received this American Association ball, unsigned at the time, while in the U.S. Army and playing baseball for the Ft. Monmouth, NJ Army baseball team. A few years later, after keeping the ball in pristine condition, he found himself in front of Jackie Robinson at the Binghampton NY Chapter of the Urban League annual dinner. There, he graciously asked for Mr. Robinson's signature. The amazing ball has been in his possession ever since.
We've been in contact with our consignor about this ball for the past few years, and finally, he has decided to relinquish ownership to someone else. We're delighted to present you this exceptional Jackie Robinson single signed baseball that has until now, been in the hands of just one owner. Accompanied with this ball and LOA from JSA, our consignor has kindly offered his own notarized letter of provenance(copy).
Hands down, this is one of the finest Jackie Robinson single signed baseballs you will ever find. The ball is nearly pristine and resembles a pearly white tone while the signature is also fantastic. This one speaks for itself. If you have been in search of a high grade Robinson single, look no further. Highly uncommon to find one with this kind of provenance.
Accompanied by a Full Letter of Authenticity (LOA) from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
