An accomplished hitter by many accounts, Roger Maris never expected stardom. Instead, he trotted along from his humble North Dakota upbringing to become one of the largest icons in all of baseball history. We all know 1961 was a magical year, but '60 and '62 were not bad either. Maris received consecutive MVP awards in '60 and '61 with a combined total of 100 homeruns and 253 RBIs. While a few players have exceeded his 61 in '61 campaign, most still consider Maris to be the true single season homerun king.

Roger Maris single signed baseballs are few and far between, and when found, rarely compare to the example offered here. Maris has placed a near perfect ('9-10') signature which consumes almost the entire panel of this Rawlings Official League baseball. The ball itself displays NearMint condition or better with just a few very faint age-induced toning spots. We can confidently proclaim this to be the finest single signed Roger Maris ball we've ever handled. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
