Babe Ruth - who else could have garnered such nicknames as "The Babe" or "The Sultan of Swat" as he was known, an iconic and gregarious man that many baseball purists insist was the greatest to have ever hit a ball. In the law of supply and demand, the volume of Ruth autographed baseballs remain steady. Meanwhile, collector interest in these divine spheres has steadily grown over the years, increasing its already heavily skewed tilt toward demand. We are proud to offer our finest Ruth single-signed baseball ever. After many years of holding onto this special keepsake, our consignor has given in to the overwhelming collector interest and has kindly conceded to its transfer into one's hand. His account of how this ball was obtained points to c.1930, when his grand-father who was acquaintances with Harry M. Stevens (the famous concession stand pioneer) was allowed onto the field and had this ball signed by Babe.

This phenomenal relic of the Official American League variety, has been inked with near perfection on the sweet spot in deep black fountain pen - conservatively '7-8' in strength. This beautifully aged ball shows desirable color, creamy white in tone, and displays near-mint in overall form. Minor age wear on some panels, not affecting the signature, are the only notes of interest which keep this ball from mint status. The Barnard league president stamping points precisely to the 1927-1931 era, the height of Ruth's glory days. Simply put, this is one of the best Ruth single-signed baseballs to surface in recent memory. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
