He strikes pointedly at major league players and 'calls them out' if you will. Allow us to phrase some of this letter for you. Johnson writes, "...the men you've picked, each one of them were big league players, each team would beat any big league team in a series of games. I've played against all of the men you've picked any were major players; they just won't let a all negro team play in the major league. We played the big league players they could never win the series of play. I would love to see a all Negro team in each league, that would be something to see."
