This Official League (Rawlings) baseball portrays a fantastic creamy white tone with a vibrant inscription and signature from Ty Cobb in his famous green ink. Signed, "To Gordon Beckley From Ty Cobb 12/10/53", the signature is one of the best you will find. While the ball does have great color for its age, the surface seems to have been curiously handled at one point. As you rotate the ball in hand, various "scratching" is found on all panels. Parts of the inscription and the 'C' in Cobb is affected by this mishandling. All told, we find the ball in very good-excellent condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication(JSA).
